Torn Paper Landscapes by 2nd Grade

2nd graders learn the 3 basic parts of a landscape as they simple scenes.  Instead of painting, we turned to torn paper collage, focusing on texture and overlapping.  The result is gorgeous and very unique!

Kindergarten Art is the Best!

Teaching art to Kindergarten students is amazingly fun!  Everything is new, open minds combined with lots of enthusiasm make for some incredible art making!  Check out our textured clay hearts, which served as our introduction to hand building.  We also read a story about a giraffe named Gerald who only wanted to dance, and so we created our own dancing giraffes by stacking shapes.  Stay tuned for more artistic genius from Kindergarten!
